Bella Shmurda, one of Nigeria’s hottest Afropop artists, joins forces with rising star Bloody Civilian on the track “1999” from his introspective new EP “R2 Sept 12.

Shmurda’s rise to fame began in 2019 with the Olamide-assisted remix of his single “Vision 2020,” a song that resonated with its raw portrayal of societal struggles and the yearning for a better future. He solidified his success with his critically acclaimed debut EP “High Tension.”

“R2 Sept 12” marks a new chapter for Shmurda, one tinged with grief and self-reflection following the loss of his close friend Mohbad on September 12th.
