Nigerian music sensation, Burna Boy has achieved a remarkable milestone with his song “Alone,” featured on the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” soundtrack with the track selling over 500,000 units in the United States, making it eligible for Gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

“Alone” was released in November 2022 as part of the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” soundtrack, an album that showcases a diverse array of African artists. The song quickly resonated with audiences worldwide, blending Burna Boy’s distinctive sound with the thematic elements of the film.

This Gold certification adds to Burna Boy’s impressive list of accolades. In March 2023, his hit single “Last Last” was certified Platinum by the RIAA, denoting over 1 million units sold in the U.S. This made him the first African artist to have two solo songs achieve Platinum status in America. Additionally, the singer who has continued to tease a new album saw his 2018 anthem “Ye” receive Gold certification in January 2023, further solidifying his presence in the international music industry.

Beyond the U.S., “Alone” has garnered recognition in other markets. In September 2023, the track was certified Gold in France, surpassing 15 million digital streams. By January 2024, it achieved Silver certification in the United Kingdom, reflecting its widespread popularity across different regions.
