An eclectic fusion of Amapiano and the bounce that characterizes the vibrant energy of street pop, Alhamdulillah is Lava C’s first sonic offering of 2024. Thankful amid the chaos, Lava C takes inspiration from the holy month of Ramadan and interprets thanksgiving in the rebellious tone of afrobeats street pop acts.
Lava C, named Christian Ossai, is one of Afrobeats’ fast-rising up-and-comer. Inspired by his birth city of Lagos and his lived experiences in London- this act is a storyteller whose product is a unique fusion of the storied nuances and notoriety of the streets of Lagos and London.
Alhamdulilah is a follow up to 2022 drop, Sa La Ye. The song will be his fifth career drop, and it is set to properly position him as an emerging voice in the mainstream.
‘Alhamdulilah is my expression of gratefulness. I’m the midst of the chaos, it is important to self reflect and remember the good things no matter how small” Lava C says of the song’s inspirations. ‘Appreciate your own journey and be mindful to not compare yourself with others’
Introspective, and an emphatic sonic statement, Alhamdulilah will comfortably grace the speakers of clubs and would find purchase on the playlists of those that would live life despite its limitations.
