Rising star Lekkzy Young (Samuel Allen) has released his highly anticipated debut EP, “Lekkzy Young EP.”
Born to Ivorian and Nigerian parents, Lekkzy’s multicultural upbringing has shaped his distinctive sound and style. Raised in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, before moving to Lagos, Nigeria, at the age of 13, he merges Francophone and Anglophone influences into his music.
Since the release of his first two singles, Lekkzy has garnered attention for his soulful vocals, catchy melodies, and honest lyrics. “Lekkzy Young EP” showcases his artistic growth and versatility, exploring themes of love, heartbreak, and ambition.
The EP features a range of tracks, including “Adura,” as he reflects on the heartache of being let down by close friends, the importance of daily prayer, and living life on one’s terms. He explores the trials of a man who abandons the advice of loved ones to pursue a relationship with a woman for superficial reasons on “Kunle”. “32 Focus” is a mantra for every Lagos hustler who lives life on the go. “FAAJI,” a celebration of Lekkzy Young’s journey towards global stardom.
While “Body Language,” is a track that oozes with sensuality and smooth grooves.
