Ghanaian singer OliveTheBoy has shared the remix of his breakout single “GoodSin,” which is now available for streaming and download on all major digital platforms. The original version of the song was released earlier this year as part of OliveTheBoy’s Avana EP.
The remix features collaborations with fellow Ghanaian act King Promise and Nigerian artists Oxlade and Reekado Banks. Produced by Beats Vampire, the reimagined version marks OliveTheBoy’s first release since signing a record deal with Sony Music’s Columbia Records through subsidiary Bu Vision in August. The remix is expected to precede a deluxe edition of the Avana EP in January.
Thematically, “GoodSin” is an invitation to love and lust. OliveTheBoy considers this collaboration a “turning point” in his career, which has already earned him a place in Apple Music’s Up Next artist development program following the viral success of the original version of “GoodSin.”
OliveTheBoy, born Joel Ofori Bonsu, is widely regarded as the biggest Ghanaian breakthrough act of 2023. His craft is characterized by a fusion of multiple influences, most notably Afropop and R&B. The remix of “GoodSin” further solidifies his position as a rising star in the music industry.
