Introducing Dela, an undeniably rising star in African music from Ogun state, Nigeria. Born into a home of music enthusiasts, her socialisation has helped her forge a unique blend of various genres. The world’s introduction to Dela happened in December 2022 when she was featured on a project “There Are No Rules To This” by an amazing artist “Emaxee” and this was the beginning of her journey as a recording artiste into the world of music.
In June 2023, Dela independently put out her debut release, an eponymous two pack project “Dela” with the songs “Solomon” and “Save me”. The project has since then amassed over 900,000 streams across digital platforms ever since its release. The success recorded on this project has seen a rise in her social media impressions, garnering over 16,000 followers across her social media platforms.
Recently, she was featured on six songs off the Music Business Academy for Africa(Africa’s premier music business academic program, sponsored by Sony music publishing, the Orchard Et al) 2023 cohort’s album “Pepple Street”. To cap up the release of her debut project, Dela put out a reimagined version of her song “Solomon” 365 days after the release of project “Dela.”
In a bid to cement her place as one of the acts to look out for, Dela releases her debut EP “Miosis” in November 2024 , a strong body of work and statement piece that aims to shoot Dela up high across the world as an Afrobeats superstar. This project is a 7 track extended play that has been richly crafted with emotional and tear jerking songs such as “Memories” and “In My Way” to the energetic Party bops like “Pedal”, ”Melody”, “Controlla” and “Water” with the strong ode to herself and the fans “Go”.
