Rising talent, Viveeyan is a singer-songwriter and a dedicated music enthusiast. She pursued a Law degree at the University of Ibadan, where she made a notable impact on the campus music scene by composing jingles for students vying for leadership positions. She clinched the top spot in the inaugural All Talented Law Students competition.
Viveeyan‘s journey to national prominence began with her remarkable journey to the top 8 in the first season of the Voice Nigeria in 2016. Soon after her notable appearance on the talent show, she released “The Bull’s Eye,” a compelling track that firmly expressed her dedication to conveying her thoughts and emotions through her music. She has since introduced several singles to the music scene.
Viveeyan made her return earlier this year with the release of “Minimum Wage,” a story that sheds light on the less-than-glamorous side of adulthood.
Her latest EP, “Slice,” offers an intimate expedition from childhood to adulthood, exploring themes of love, resilience, self-discovery, and the transformative moments that define us. This emotional journey is conveyed through the fusion of R&B and pop elements.
The EP commences with “Minimum Wage,” a contemplation of the difficulties one faces when entering adulthood, with financial limitations often casting a shadow. “Love Me Loud” is an exploration of expressing love without reservation. In a charming duet alongside singer Otié, “You Don’t Love Me” delves into the layers of love, while “Take Me Back” narrates the ebb and flow of romantic relationships. The album concludes with “Feel Good,” a joyful anthem that calls on listeners to dance and have a good time on their own terms.
